Here’s another of our charming “foreign” Santas.   It’s Sinterklaas with his companion Black Pete.  It comes from Book 2:  Folk Santas-The Distant Lands.  Most Santas from this book are “Special Order” only.  Lucky you, to get this one!

Netherlands – Sinterklaas & Zwarte Piet (Black Peter) St Nicholas or Sinterklaas wears a bishop’s robes including a red cape and mitre and is assisted by the mischievous Black Peter.  He throws candy to the children unless they are naughty.  If that’s the case he packs them into his bag and carries them off to Spain.

This a very traditional Santa and is really appropriate for many European countries.

For Machine Embroidery, there are 2 size options. 7.80″ which requires an 8×8″ (200 sq) hoop and 9.96″ requiring a 10×10″ (260 sq) hoop.

The download gives several file types. The 7.80″ is in PES, VIP, DST, EXP, XXX, JEF formats including a PDF & JPG. The 9.96″ version is in PES, VIP, DST, VP3 formats plus a  PDF & JPG.

The Letter sized PDF download for hand-work or manually guided long-arm machine gives an 8-inch size and a 10-inch size.
