Description
What a lovely batik border. It reminds me of so many truly oriental batiks. Use these 2 patterns as borders or even for Edge 2 Edge quilting.
You might pair them with the new Java Batik Floral 10″ Edge 2 Edge. Watch for some blocks on the same theme.
Tonight a friend of mine from Indonesia came over and I showed her my new pattern. “Oh, the name of this flower in Java is Kembang Kenanga,” she exclaimed. How fun to know the real name and that it was recognizable! (It translates to Kenanga Flower. In Bali it is called Padma. Yes, all you Star Wars Fans – Padma was not a new name.)
