Every year I make these ice candles for Thanksgiving. I love seeing them “open up” on the surface as the ice begins to melt. As the flame burns down we get a whiff of the scent of burning leaves. It’s a very nostalgic Autumn feeling. It’s delightful!
Make the Christmas version the same way as the Thanksgiving candle. Just substitute pine, holly, pinecones, berries and nuts. I even included a hedge-apple (Osage Orange) for a touch of lt. green. I used the plastic container from pretzel logs for the Christmas candle mold and placed 3 candles in it. You can use tea lights too.
