Several years ago the Seattle zoo celebrated its centennial. A customer called and asked if I could draw a set of Penguin blocks so that she could make a quilt to commemorate the event. It was fun doing the research. I learned a great deal about the different varieties of Penguins. SEE THE PENGUINS ON PARADE BLOCK PATTERNS. After creating the blocks I also made this Pictogram pattern. I have thoroughly enjoyed this fun pattern.
I have made several with this pattern. When I made one for myself I decided to paint some of the Penguins with Tsukineko Inks. It was a great success and soo easy. Read the whole story here.
See how my friend Julie Lucht used this pattern in my “Black Light Blog.”
